This is a quick note to remind myself to, when I have more time, write about how forcing children to sing "The Gypsy Rover" is incredibly cruel.

Forcing children to sing anything is incredibly cruel... especially for the audience. Children are not generally the best singers.
But I agree: 'Gypsy Rover' is a blight upon Western childhood.
